Cellenis PRP Dermafiller
Natural volume restoration using your body's own platelet-rich plasma
Overview
Cellenis PRP Dermafiller represents the next evolution in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy — a technique that uses your own blood to create a natural, biocompatible filler for facial rejuvenation. At Jade Aesthetics in Wheaton, IL, we use the Cellenis system to prepare a concentrated PRP gel that can be injected to restore volume, improve skin quality, and stimulate your body's own collagen production without the use of synthetic materials.
Traditional PRP treatments involve drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and injecting or micro-needling it into the skin. The Cellenis system takes this a step further by converting the PRP into a thicker, gel-like consistency that functions as a true dermal filler. This means it can be used to fill under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, cheek volume loss, and other areas where traditional PRP alone would not provide adequate structural support.
Patients from across DuPage County are drawn to Cellenis PRP Dermafiller at our Wheaton med spa because it offers a completely natural approach to facial rejuvenation. Since the filler is made entirely from your own blood, there is virtually no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. The growth factors in your PRP also continue to stimulate tissue regeneration long after the initial injection, improving skin texture, tone, and elasticity over the following weeks and months at Jade Aesthetics.

What to Expect
Blood Draw
A small amount of blood — similar to a routine lab draw — is taken from your arm. The process is quick and uses sterile, single-use collection tubes.
PRP Processing
Your blood is placed in the Cellenis centrifuge system, which separates and concentrates the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then processed into a gel-like consistency suitable for injection as a dermal filler.
Topical Numbing
While your PRP is being prepared, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas to ensure your comfort during the injection process.
PRP Dermafiller Injection
Your provider injects the Cellenis PRP gel into the targeted areas using precise techniques to restore volume, fill hollows, and rejuvenate the skin from within.
Post-Treatment Assessment
Your provider evaluates the treated areas, ensures symmetry, and provides detailed aftercare instructions. A follow-up appointment may be recommended to assess results and determine if additional treatment would be beneficial.
Is This Right for You?
Cellenis PRP Dermafiller is ideal for patients who prefer a natural approach to facial rejuvenation and want to avoid synthetic fillers. It is particularly well-suited for individuals with mild to moderate volume loss in the cheeks, under-eye area, or nasolabial folds, as well as those looking to improve overall skin quality and texture.
This treatment is also an excellent option for patients who have experienced allergic reactions to traditional fillers or who want the regenerative benefits of PRP combined with volume restoration. It is not recommended for individuals with blood disorders, platelet dysfunction, active infections, or those taking blood-thinning medications.
Aftercare
- Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours
- Apply ice gently to minimize swelling — expect mild swelling for two to four days
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 48 hours
- Do not take anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, aspirin) for 48 hours, as they can inhibit platelet function
- Sleep with your head elevated the first night to reduce swelling
- Wear SPF 30 or higher daily and avoid direct sun exposure for one week
Results & Timeline
Initial volume improvement is visible immediately after treatment, though you should expect some swelling that subsides over two to four days. The true volumizing effect of the PRP gel becomes apparent at the two-week mark.
Because PRP contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production and tissue regeneration, results continue to improve over the following two to three months. Skin quality, texture, and elasticity in the treated areas gradually enhance as new collagen forms. Results typically last four to six months, and periodic treatments can build cumulative improvement over time.
